Side vents on each side unite with the drawstrings. Drawstring closures are continuous so you can customize how full you want your dress to be. Tighten the drawstring, shorten the dress. You can create a knee length dress when strings are tightened or loosen for a longer kaftan. You may also arrange the gathers so they fall where you choose. Gathering along the bust is extremely flattering and also across the back panel. The choices are numerous. Due to the soft, supple nature of silk, the fabric falls into place without bulging, puckering or thickened fabric. It is amazing how finished this piece looks, draping and flowing.
