MOC From Designer: brick_squadron Introduction To MOCs: By the mid 1950s, the USAF was in great need of a fast interceptor that could counter the threat of Soviet nuclear bombers. One of the answers to that need was the Convair F-102 Delta Dagger. The F-102 was the USAF’s first operational supersonic delta wing interceptor. The “Deuce” however was quickly obsolete due to the constant leapfrogging of interceptor technology. It did see service in Vietnam as both an escort and ground attacker but its role was short lived.
