About the Piece A 2.81 gr silver Drachm coin from Caria. Rhodes. Xenophantos magistrate 170-150 BC with the radiate head of Helios looking right on one side, a rose bud with small rams head in an incuse square on the other, set in 22k gold and hanging 1" long from bail.  In ancient Greek mythology, the god Helios was seen riding across the sky driving a horse-drawn chariot during the day, like the sun. Due to his affiliation to the sun, Helios was seen to be an all-seeing witness and was invoked when oaths were made.
