THE TRUTH BEHIND THE SCRIPTURE The key to this verse is understanding the meaning of "Come to me".  The Greek makes is more clear, "Come hither toward me".  Hither means adjacent or be next to, along side or adjoining.  We are walking with God.   We have to take the first step. This must include an act of sincere repentance.  Then we can receive rest, but this word also means refresh.  One could take this as receiving a second wind, being refreshed, to fight the daily struggle of overcoming.
