Andropogon gerardii - Big bluestem

A tall, perennial, warm-season grass. Big bluestem's captivating foliage changes from green to blue-green and silvery blue in the summer, to red, orange and purple in the fall. Easy to maintain and while tolerant of a wide range of soils and conditions, it grows best in moist, fertile soil. Self-seeds freely in optimum growing conditions.
