Carex bromoides - Brome-like Sedge

This slow-forming clump is a host plant for a variety of butterflies and moths. Its seeds are popular amongst birds. Commonly found in woodlands throughout Eastern United States.   Grass-like sedge that is good for suppressing weeds and as a groundcover. Can do well in wet part-shade and average sunny locations.
