Deciding on the exposure to capture water in motion is alway a prime consideration. A difference of a second here or there changes the presentation drastically. This picture photograph was taken at 0.4 sec which was just enough to capture enough detail in the breaking wave while allowing the a rather dreamy foreground. This tends to keep attention of the wave itself. I particularly like how the sun light is reflected along the top of the wave.
