Mt. Mansfield Range In Winter, B&W
One of my favorite things is to use a photograph as the basis of something more. I enjoy adding elements that blur the line between the real and the surreal and between art and photography. Images that leave the viewer questioning the why and how of an image add an element of mystery, adding value. As a photographer, I am acutely aware of the necessity of art in photography. Adding an artistic element is critical to most photographs. The color seen here was carefully painted onto the otherwise black-and-white photograph to add definition. The entire image was stylized to give an element of movement and whimsy to transform it from something typical to something more unique. This illustrative representation of the Mansfield Range taken from Elmore Mt. Road in Morrisville is more like an oil painting than a photograph. Limited edition of 5 prints. Also available Framed.
