River Stone - Wool Roving

I am so thrilled to be able to offer this beautiful 100% domestically sourced wool roving. I have carefully chosen this wool for its consistent superb quality and gorgeous nuanced coloring. Meet River Stone, a truly unique color that reminds me of the virtual rainbow of stones found in riverbeds. The overall appearance of this color is a marbled medium grey, though I daresay it contains every color of the rainbow in addition to light grey. These subtle color shifts will add richness and depth to any project!This is a medium fine wool, very soft to the touch, but still with plenty of crimp for felting. I use it primarily for needle felting, but it is also wonderfully suited for wet felting and spinning.For your reference, the ball of roving in the photo is 1 ounce.
