"A ripe, expressive and exceptionally pretty nose is just beginning to reveal a touch of secondary character on the otherwise fresh dark berry fruit and exuberantly spicy aromas. There is a lovely texture and richness to the large-bodied and solidly powerful flavors that possess fine concentration in the context of the vintage, all wrapped in a hugely persistent finish where the only mild reproach is a touch of backend warmth. For my taste this has largely arrived at its peak though I underscore that there is certainly no rush to drink up, indeed this should hold gracefully over the next 20ish years." - Burghound, BH96, tasted 10/2023
