The "WM" in the model code stands for "Working Man", and the "45" is of course a reference to Gibson's iconic J-45 model. Gibson had to make it different from their J-45, so gave this version black binding instead of white, and a black pickguard instead of faux tortoiseshell. Thankfully they left all the important stuff unchanged, like the scalloped top bracing, D-shape neck profile, and short scale length. The result is that classic Gibson mahogany slope-shoulder tone and playability that has made the J-45 a favorite acoustic rhythm guitar since the early 1950s. Oh, and there's a K&K pickup if you need to plug in, and the original hardshell case. That adds up to a lot of solid-wood, US-made, iconic brand guitar for less than $1500, and the clean condition, with lack of fret or playing wear, makes it even sweeter.
