2016 Gibson Custom Shop L-5 Lee Ritenour Archtop Electric Guitar - Used

Here is a relatively rare artist signature model Gibson L-5 inspired by the jazz and session musician Lee Ritenour. The construction is all solid wood, hand carved archtop with a spruce top and maple back and sides, and a 5-piece maple neck. What makes this artist model different is the dimensions of the body are scaled down from a 17-inch lower bout to a 15 ¾ inch lower bout. This puts the size of the lower bout on the body much closer to an ES-175 than a standard modern L-5. The depth of this L-5 is also slightly shallower at 2 and 5/8th's compared to a standard L-5 body depth of 3 and 3/8th's. Thus it makes it an excellent choice for any player who wants the sound, feel, and look of a Gibson Custom Shop L-5 but with better ergonomics for players with a smaller frame or with physical limitations.
