What makes one society thrive, and another fail? We would submit to you that the MORAL ideas that a family and a society embraces will determine its destiny. And as we have discussed in our earlier videos, those ideas are the substance of the worldview – or religion – that a we have chosen to live by. In the beginning of the founding of America, for example, the original founders of our culture chose to follow the moral code which proceeds from the Christian religion as found in the Bible. This radical choice resulted in the most prosperous, powerful, and charitable nation the world has ever seen. At his Farewell Address given in 1796, George Washington warned: “America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves”.
