Guide UFC Crab

The Guide Flies UFC Crab is the ultimate fighting crab. Dave McKenna took a few of the saltiest materials and crab parts to design our newest Ultimate Fighting Crab. This crab is the king of flats and is ready to trade shots with the heavyweights. The UFC Crab starts with our unique claw material. A Tiger Barred, 3 Tone Rabbit strip that is finished with Loon Hard Head Flex to a sharp Kung-Fu shape. Additional rabbit fur breathes and pulsates just behind the claw.  The body is tied with Semperfli Guard-Hair Chenille and creates a translucent, UV shell that has been a top-performing material on our flat’s flies.  Next, we match up a uniquely barred set of matching rubber legs at the bend of the jig-hook. These sit on top of a fluorescent dumbbell and add to the realistic movement of a defensive, fleeing crab.  Dave chose the new Umpqua X-Series XH506 Flats Jig hook as the perfect hook to compliment the design.
