WWII-era photo Union Switch & Signal employee badge for a woman worker in Swissvale (an area of Pittsburgh) where the company had manufacturing facilities. Springback pin closure with blue enamel, 1.75" diameter. Very Good with some general scuffing and toning/discoloration to the photo covering. An unsuspecting woman worker has a subtle, sly smile upon close inspection (and quite the brooch).  Union Switch & Signal dealt in products and services related to railway signaling. It was a Pittsburgh company founded by George Westinghouse in 1881.
