Ochee Black Thorn Durian (Durio zibethinus)  or better known as Ochee because the outer skin has black spines, is a type of superior durian that is cultivated and superior in Malaysia. This type of superior durian began to exist in northern Malaysia since the 80s and began to gain its reputation in 2005.  The characteristics of the superior black thorn durian fruit include the flesh being golden yellow, the smell is fragrant, the texture of the flesh is soft and creamy. This superior ochee durian does have medium seeds but has a higher number of pongge formations (usually 4-6 fruit pulp units) than other durians. The taste is also sweet, a little bitter but will soon melt with its delicious taste. Durian (Durio zibethinus) is the edible fruit of several tree species belonging to the genus Durio.
