Baileya multiradiata - Desert Marigold

Baileya multiradiata Desert Marigold is an ephemeral perennial that forms impressive mounds of silvery-white to green foliage, topped by stems with brilliant 1-2 in. wide yellow marigold-like flowers in the early spring to late fall. This plant has a wide natural distribution in low to mid-desert regions and is extremely drought tolerant and a great attractor of bees and butterflies. They will accept regular, light watering during periods of growth, but prefer little to none during cooler fall to winter months.
