Imagine It's Coming

Oceans are wondrous and always changing. Its shorelines are never still or quiet. I wanted to create artworks that evoke its movement and its voices. In this series, I have used a unique kind of photographic print called lenticular that can display multiple images when you move beside it. Five frames from a video of ocean waves are combined to give a sense of the movement of waves, into which evocative words are added, in this case: IMAGINE IT'S COMING.  Then I created a custom light-box frame to backlit them with motion-controlled lights in order to further create the illusion of motion.
