Philip Togni Vineyard, Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon Purchasing the land in 1975, the Togni family began to plant the vineyards in 1981. Their oldest vines now date back to 1985, and their youngest back to 1997. The ten acres of vineyards are co-planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. One of 3 owners, Philip Togni is a former student of Emile Peynaud and studied at the University of Bordeaux where he earned the Diplôme National d’Oenologie. He later worked as an assistant Régisseur at Château Lascombes. The winery is run by his wife Brigitta and daughter Lisa who has worked harvests in Australia.  Vines are planted at 2000 feet elevation near the top of Spring Mountain in the western hills of the Napa Valley.
