Black Walnut Weaving Tapestry Needles - 4 1/2" Long

Enjoy weaving with our handcrafted hardwood tapestry needles.  Each needle is sanded silky smooth to glide effortlessly through your weaving warp.  These needles are great for weaving shorter lengths of yarn and for adding detailed visual effects to your piece. Each measures approximately 4 1/2" long by 7/16" as the top width, and has a large hole to fit heavy weight yarns. Coated in an all-natural oil and beeswax finish for a soft feel and natural look. About the wood used to make our weaving tools... The wood used to make this product was harvested either on our family farm or a private woodlot within a 50 mile radius. We primarily harvest trees during the winter, when the ground is frozen and there is lesser chance of damage to the forest floor. This, too, is the time all our little critter friends are hidden away in their winters haven.Trees are selectively cut using the “worst-first” method, and gently drug out with the help of a logging cart and our team of Suffolk draft horses.
