Intention Setting with Charm Jars

Making intention jars together is one of my favorite rituals to do with my children. They can be used at any time, but we really love to create them as part of our Winter Solstice rituals. We each write down what we want our hearts to focus on for the next year, and then choose which crystals, ensigns and plant allies to combine in the jars, as a physical reminder of our intentions. I also write out the symbolism of each ingredient on a tpaper template to keep with the jar so it’s easy to remember what we included, and why. The way we use them at Solstice, prior to our spiral walk, we reflect on the happenings of the past year. We write down the things we want to leave behind on a piece of parchment (parchment/scrap of brown paper bag same thing 🤷‍♀️), and take this paper outside where we walk in a spiral. When we get to the center of our spiral, we burn the paper. We take turns as a family, and each of us recalls something we are grateful for from the past year. As we walk out of our
