Home Health: Recognizing and Responding to Emergencies

Certified home health agencies (HHAs) are mandated to develop processes, protocols, and procedures to provide guidance to employees on how to respond to emergency situations. In a  medical emergency a home health professional needs to be able to quickly assess the situation and determine if further medical assistance is required. This educational activity explores common safety issues encountered by workers providing services in the home.
