Basic Life Support  (Revised 2021) Blended Course Course Purpose: The American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) course provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to assess, recognize and care for patients who are experiencing respiratory arrest, cardiac arrest, airway obstruction or opioid overdose.  When a patient experiences a life-threatening emergency, healthcare providers need to act swiftly and promptly. The course emphasizes providing high-quality care and integrating psycho-motor skills with critical thinking and problem solving to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.  Upon signing up, you will receive an email confirmation from the Red cross with a link to complete the online portion.  This portion must be completed prior to the classroom setting.  The skills portion (classroom) will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete.  This course is scheduled from 1:00 PM until 3:30 PM.   Course Prerequisites - None   Learning Objectives: • Apply concepts of
