Introduction to Basic Pattern Making Class

Learn the fundamentals of making a pattern to recreate your favorite dress in our Basic Pattern Making class. This introductory class covers essential techniques and skills for creating patterns from scratch. You'll explore basic pattern drafting, understanding measurements, and translating. You will be creating a pattern for the dress - you will not make the dress in class. Overview of pattern making process. Introduction to tools: tracing wheel, hip curve ruler, French curve ruler, pattern paper, and paper scissors. Explanation of pattern symbols and markings. This is a beginner level class but participants should have a basic knowledge of sewing.
