Limited/ London A beautifully bound volume of Tennyson’s collected verse, including such enduring works as The Lady of Shalott, Maud, The Princess, Lancelot and Elaine, Merlin and Vivien, and Guinevere. Bound in full navy-blue polished calf with raised bands, gilt compartments featuring ornate floral devices, a red morocco title label, and double gilt ruling to the boards. Inner gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, and all edges marbled. A few small minor scuffs to the boards. Interior clean and unmarked. Binding tight and sound. Marbled edges remain vibrant. Provenance: The front pastedown bears the armorial bookplate of A.C. Jennings with a Latin inscription presenting the volume “honoris causa” (as an honor), dated 1909, from H.N. Wakefield. Condition: Very Good+ Size: 5” x 7 1/4” Printed on laid paper, this edition is elegant in both form and content—an ideal copy for the poetry lover, collector of fine bindings, or admirer of Victorian verse.
