Inner gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers, and all edges marbled. A few small minor scuffs to the boards. Interior clean and unmarked. Binding tight and sound. Marbled edges remain vibrant. Provenance: The front pastedown bears the armorial bookplate of A.C. Jennings with a Latin inscription presenting the volume “honoris causa” (as an honor), dated 1909, from H.N. Wakefield.
