Austin State University, he spent 12 years at Kingwood H.S.� For the last 11 years, he has been the head baseball coach at Barbers Hill H.S.� In 22 years as a Head Coach, his teams have competed in 21 state playoffs, won eleven district titles and he�has�510 wins.� Denny�s teams have played in five regional finals, made three trips to Round�Rock,�and won the State Championship in 2005 and 2021.� In 2004, Denny was awarded the Ray Knoblauch Award by the Houston Athletic Committee and, in 2005, was named the 5A Coach of the Year by the Texas Sportswriter�s Association.� In 2018 he coached the 5A-6A South Team in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association All Star Game.
