Rounds are absorbed by this plate on impact, rather than deflected or fragmented. The Hoplite Armor 23707 Series Level III++ plates are designed to provide a more affordable option for Level III rifle rated armor with Special Threat Protection against M855/SS109 and 7.62×39 Mild Steel Core. The 23707 Series plates have been CERTIFIED according to NIJ 0101.06 ballistic standards. These plates start at only 3.8 lbs for a small SAPI and outperforms every Level III / III+ / III++ plate option from every major manufacturer in the United States at a significantly lower cost.
