Matt realized he was an artist instinctively at a young age, making his first work of art - a comic book while still in elementary school. He continues to paint comic book characters, although they are now more typically seen on the exterior of buildings or hanging in a contemporary art gallery. His first genuine creative work was as a digital illustrator, making images for licensed music clothing. His ability gave him freedom, which led to his launching his own apparel and art business on his 30th birthday. Sadly, he rapidly discovered that operating a boutique was not for him. Matt closed his business and struggle for three months with indecision and a lack of direction.
