47x28 | rug tapestry | yarn, lace, VHS tape, and bodega bags  This sensory rug/tapestry is a soft core psychedelic spill made of VHS tape, bodega bags, yarn remnants, and kool-aid dyed lace. The materials came from the inventory she “hoarded,” with no real blueprint of making this piece. “It became a prototype for all of my abstract works that came after it.” About Nora Croft:  Nora Croft is a Brooklyn-based artist with over 20 years of experience in dry hair cutting—a craft that honed her sensitivity to movement, structure, color, and energy. These instincts now inform her rug tufting practice, a medium that offers both creative freedom and therapeutic focus. Favoring wool but often blending fine yarns with found materials, Nora lets texture and contrast guide the narrative of each piece. Her work draws deeply from her Pacific Northwest roots, where surreal landscapes and local lore inspire themes that are both ethereal and grounded, natural and otherworldly.
