Knob Creek Small Batch Straight Rye Whiskey won "Best Rye Worldwide Whiskey" at the 2016 International Wine and Spirits Competition.Nose: Rich caramel, bright ginger, and lingering menthol hints, with more herbaceous touches developing with the robust rye notes. A good core of oak spice, too.Palate: Traditional rye spiciness, rich and mouth-coating, but not as overpowering as some other rye whiskey. Instead, there's more development of vanilla, brown sugar, and soft butter notes.Finish: Drying oak, white pepper, and rye spice last on the finish.Cheers, and enjoy this whiskey!
