James and the Ancient Messianic Movement in Jerusalem

Dr. Jeffrey Seif, Instructor This mini-course will examine first-century Jerusalem’s first Messianic community and its most noteworthy Messianic Jew. Relevant source material will be scrutinized, from which we’ll reconstruct what we know of the earliest Messianic movement along with the life and teachings of the one who led it: Jesus’ half-brother, James. In the context of so doing, participants will get a window into ancient Messianic faith, ethics and practices.
