
Handmade Medal of St. Benedict Joseph Labre: Patron of Alzheimer’s Patients and Their Caregivers
This handmade medal is meant to be worn or carried by Alzheimer's patients or by those who care for them. I design, carve, and cast the medals myself. The medals are made of lead-free pewter and have designs on both sides. The pendant comes with a jump ring (see photo 1), so it can easily be attached to a chain. This listing is for the pendant alone, but it does come with a split ring so it can also be used on a key chain (see photo of packaging). Each medal comes in a felt jewelry pouch with a history card that states:"After being rejected by three religious orders, St. Benedict Joseph Labre (1748-83) became a lifelong pilgrim, in imitation of Christ. He wandered through Europe, visiting churches and shrines, with only the clothes on his back, his only food what strangers would give him.
