Bodegas Ateca Atteca Garnacha Old Vines 2017

Notes from the Winemaker Rich Morello cherry and plum flavors are accented by mint, orange peel and sassafras notes in this impressive red which has soft tannins, juicy acidity and a smoky finish. Sourced from average 65-year-old vines planted on rocky slate soils at 3,000 ft. above sea level. Vineyards are dry-farmed without use of pesticides or herbicides and then hand harvested. Fermented in stainless steel before aging for 10 months in French oak. Aromas and flavors of rich cherry and plum, accented by mint and orange peel. Soft tannins, juicy acidity, refreshing mineral notes and a smoky finish. Blend: 100% Garnacha
