These exquisite hourglass amethysts come from the now-closed Bamyan Mine in Afghanistan, making them exceptionally rare and increasingly sought after by collectors, with limited availability of authentic specimens.What sets this material apart is its striking phantom-like hourglass inclusion, naturally formed by zoning during crystal growth. This internal pattern — a pale to deep lavender amethyst with a shadowy hourglass at its core — is not an enhancement but a rare geological occurrence, visible with light or backlighting.
