How To Work In Groups: Creating A Productive & Positive Learning Experience
Overview Today’s students expect to be engaged by their environment with participatory learning activities, and group work is an ideal way to provide this type of learning experience. In this workshop, students will learn about the importance of group dynamics and how it influences their participation and productivity when interacting in groups. Students will learn tips, strategies, and effective group processes that they can apply and benefit from when participating in a variety of groups (study groups, group projects, group work in the classroom, etc.). The skills learned in this workshop are transferable when interacting in groups outside of class, such as clubs, sports teams, student organizations, and ultimately in the work environment, helping them be more well-rounded, skilled, and effective in their interactions.
