Original French WWI German-Captured Model 1873 Service Revolver Leather Clamshell Holster with Attached Gott Mit Uns Badge
Original Item: Only One Available. This is a nice French WWI Model 1873 Leather Clamshell Revolver Holster. These are getting exceptionally hard to find as of late, and are much more difficult to find than the Model 1892. Many simply have not survived the two world wars, and the following conflicts the French have been involved with in between and beyond. This example was captured by a German soldier who attached the Gott Mit Uns badge from a German belt buckle to the front. The holster is in good condition for its age. The securing strap is still intact and in fair condition. The holster itself is supple, a bit too supple in the back. The belt loop is intact but is heavily crazing and cracking. Closure holes are intact and not ripped. The internal ammunition pouch is complete with two internal rows of 6 loops to hold rounds. The cover for the pouch is very weak. There is some crazing to the leather and areas of dryness, but overall this is in very good condition considering the age. T
