When sailing yachts on long passages sunset was one of my favorite times to be on watch, and if not on watch I would always try to be out on deck for them as much as possible. Some of the most incredible sunsets came when crossing the Atlantic Ocean from Cape Town South Africa to Fernando de Noronha Brazil a archipelago off the coast of Brazil. We saw a few green flashes while between the Tropic of Capricorn and the Equator. But the most happened while Crossing the equator and traveling on the 2,000 nautical mile stretch from Fernando de Noronha Brazil to St Lucia in the Caribbean. We saw several green flashes which is always an incredible experience. Just seeing a beautiful sunset is always amazing but
