About the Photoshoot Each winter, I make a pilgrimage to Iceland’s ice caves, drawn to their ever-changing beauty. Over the years, I have witnessed their transformation—how the glaciers shift, recede, and reshape the landscape. What once felt timeless now carries a quiet urgency, a reminder of nature’s fleeting wonders. This image, taken in 2016, captures a moment that is no longer as easily accessible. Back then, reaching the glacier’s edge from the main roads was a far shorter and easier journey. Today, as the ice retreats, the hike has grown longer and more demanding. Each visit now requires greater effort, making every photograph even more precious—a testament to a landscape in motion. What makes this image truly unique is the fresh snowfall inside the cave, an unusual sight in such an enclosed space.
