
Phytosaur Large Fossil Tooth 1.11 Inches! Triassic Aquatic Reptile!
This is a beautiful large fossil Phytosaur tooth from the Triassic Redonda Formation of Quay County, New Mexico! The tooth is in fantastic condition with a terrific tip and a partial root! It has a couple repaired breaks but isn't restored in anyway! While the tooth doesn't have any serrations, strangely it actually never did since while most Phytosaur teeth are serrated some, like this one, didn't have serrations. These non serrated teeth were most likely used for holding prey in place like the spokes of a fork while the serrated teeth were used to cut it up. It measures 1.11 inches (2.83 cm) and comes in a double sided clear display case for easy transport and display!
