This listing is for the Large Original 19th Century Painting of Dogs and a Bird Playing in a Barn pictured above.About this work:A wonderful 19th century American or English School barnyard scene depicting a playful pair of dogs and a bird.The two dogs, one with black spots and the other with brown spots, are both shown in profile view looking towards the bird and the door. One sits while the other stands - both with glimmering eyes. The small bird, with its mouth slightly open, rests on a green water bowl. Hay lines the floor of the barn, while the door opens up to the rest of the property outside.The work is signed “F. Roberts” (?) in the lower left. The work is oil on canvas mounted to masonite.
