This early work incorporates Ippolito’s playful use of materials while still remaining focused on the non-objective outcome - a goal of the abstract expressionist movement.The work is primarily white with various marks and blocks of color. Ippolito added several different materials to the surface, creating a varied texture that adds dimensionality to the composition. Handwritten inscriptions in the upper right add yet another element to the work.The work is oil and mixed media on board and is signed in the lower left quadrant.
