Oaxaca Spiky Black Clay Serving Tray
Exquisite black clay serving trays handcrafted in Oaxaca, México featuring an intricate spiky design influenced by pre-hispanic motifs. Available in two sizes: shallow and deep. Ideal for serving use as a serving platter, a decorative catch-all, or centerpiece. The deep tray can handle pastas, roasted veggies, sliced steak, and whatever else you can imagine (with a tall enough rim to catch those juices). Each tray is made by hand in small batches. Designed and produced in San Bartolo de Coyotepec, a community in Oaxaca with a long history of producing barro negro pottery. All clay is locally sourced from the hills of the region and each piece is polished by hand with a smooth stone. Every tray is made by hand and features unique variations in size, shape and color.
