The Siren's were known in mythology to be half bird, half woman with the most beautiful and intoxicating song that would cause sailors to jump their ship to get to the songbird - only to die in the waters. Femme-Fatale at it's finest. This piece is on a wood cradle board with music note paper in the background. It's been altered with texture paste, micro beads, clay, mica flakes and acrylic paint. The center focus is a large face with a beak constructed from clay. Feathers, gems, metallic paint & mica flakes finish her intriguing beauty. The piece is finished with an acrylic varnish to help protect against color fading & scratches. Wired on the back and ready to hang. 13 x 13 x 4.25"
