Bona (Anderson): The Study of Rhythmic Division (Treble Clef)

Code: JP7049ISMN: 979-0-3019-0081-9Pasquale Bona (1808 - 1878) was an Italian composer. He studied music in Palermo, receiving a diploma in composition and singing in 1830. Bona taught at the Conservatory in Milan, where he counted among his pupils Amilcare Ponchielli, Arrigo Boito, Franco Faccio and Alfredo Catalani. Today Bona is best remembered for his teaching methods of reading music and numerous collections of solfeggio. The Jeanne publication includes Part II from Bona's Metodo Completo per la Divisione. The objective of the etudes is to gain an understanding of rhythm through subdivisions of the beat. 24 etudes are included, gradually increasing in rhythmic difficulty. John Anderson has edited the etudes and has included suggested ways to improve rhythmic precision. This volume is for any treble clef instrument.
