New Beginnings Hemera, goddess of daylight and daytime, was referred to as a ‘happy goddess’ who was also considered as the goddess of new beginnings and optimism.  It is believed that she was a popular goddess who “brightened the dark with the morning in her teeth.”  She provided the daytime which enabled mortals to enjoy a world of daylight. Hemera has a very happy-go-lucky personality.
