La Jolla Nocturne 12" x 24"

Above La Jolla on the hills near UCSD is a beautiful field where many of my paintings have originated. I thought I'd try a moonlit scene this time around! Nocturne paintings are fun to attempt and there are many ways to light the scene. This painting captures some of that late-night light as the moon gradually sinks below the clouds.
