This particular Kovac Harpune II, Model C1, serial number #DC009, uses Cherry & Mahogany wood for its various functional accents & string rib. The sides of the Body (sound chamber), and the Top & Bottom Plates are made entirely from Western Red Cedar.  Thus, this harp is lightweight, at 12 pounds, and is articulate & melodic because of the thorough use of Paulownia & Cedar tone woods for all of its internal & external sound chamber components. Its tone is brighter with a firm bass range.  Its Paulownia tone wood soundboard uses Cedar inner supports and inner string rib, creating a very responsive transducer for its harp strings to interact with.
