Craig R. Stecyk III is arguably the most important artist in the Beautiful Losers project. His installation in the show was a showstopper ... and hands down we received more positive feedback on that piece than any of the others. Scroll to the next image to see his Losers installation. Stecyk's body of work is massive - he has extensively photographed California culture for decades: custom car culture, surfing, skateboarding. In addition to his photography practice, Stecyk draws on various California subcultures to produce bright, vibrant works on paper. These works often have a hand airbrushed background with a silkscreen image on top. The Losers print here is representative of this work.
