Pelican Fragile State Pendant

An intricately carved brown pelican gently rests in the water, basking in a freshwater pearl sun. On the backside is a pelican in flight, creating the shape of Louisiana.  This unique design was inspired by the tragic 2010 Gulf oil spill, which released over three million barrels of oil, devastating Louisiana’s coastline and wildlife. In response, Jose created several coastal-themed pieces, donating 25% of sales to the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, a nonprofit focused on coastal restoration.
