Outlander Botanical Book Set

Reminiscent of fragrant herbs drying in a pantry and historic doctor’s journals, the cover design of our Outlander Botanical Set draws from heroine Claire’s knowledge of medicinal plants and her skill as a nurse. Each of the 9 novels in the series comes wrapped in a cover featuring a different Scottish flower and embellished with traditional Scottish knots. Inspired by her cabinet at Castle Leoch and her surgery at Fraser’s Ridge, our cover design encapsulates Claire’s role as a healer across time. On the covers, a deep emerald background sets the backdrop for each apothecary bottle, highlighting the plant or herb on each spine. A larger illustration of each botanical adorns each front cover.  All current 9 books in hardcover are included, published by Delacorte Press, with plans to offer an extension to this design once book 10 is released!
